Good grief. I spent my afternoon/evening in a small Facebook battle concerning – you guessed it – Donald Trump. Why do I never learn to just shut up?
Writing…. I have two pages left to edit. Two BIG pages. Two pages that set the tone for the whole story. So, I’m stalling.
I also remembered my handy Excel chart I made a long time ago and I’ve been spending a lot of time going through that checklist. Items on that list have me making sure I use lay/lying/laying and set/sat correctly, reminding me to evaluate each use of the word “that”, and urging me to try to eliminate some participle phrases. So, I’ve been doing those things… for each of my 39 chapters…
AND – turns out, I don’t think I can print the “Read Mode” I spoke so highly of in my last blog post. I tried to wrap my head around “book fold” as a printing option. But with that, I think I would literally need to try to stack 190 pages and fold them all together. Pretty sure I can’t fold 190 pages in half in one big bundle. I’m not that strong and even if I was – how would I secure them to each other so I didn’t just have 190 creased pages of paper sliding around?
I think I can closely approximate the “Read Mode” by printing two pages on one landscape mode page…. I think.
I will have to test that out once I’m done editing my last two pages and reevaluating all 39 chapters….
That’s all for now.
